Madhya Pradesh govt issues new guidelines

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government has issued new guidelines amid sharp rise in Covid cases. All schools and hostels from class 1 to class 12 will remain closed from today till January 31. Pre-board examinations for class 10th and 12 scheduled to be held this month would be conducted in 'Take Home Exam' format. Schools have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements for this. 

All types of fairs (religious, commercial), in which large groups of people gather, will be



prohibited. 

All rallies and processions will be banned. The presence of more than 250 people will be restricted in all political, cultural, religious, social, educational and entertainment events. Events/programmes can be held in closed halls with less than 50 percent attendance in the hall. 

Meanwhile, the state reported 4755 new Covid positive cases yesterday while 1022 patients recovered from infection. The positivity rate increased to 5.9 percent.
