LS passes Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of J&K for 2020-21

The Lok Sabha yesterday passed the Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of Jammu and Kashmir for 2020-21.

 

The House also passed Demands for Grants for J&K for 2021-22.

 

Besides, the Lower House cleared the  Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of Puducherry for 2020-21 and Demands for Grants for 2021-22.

 

These were passed after a brief discussion.  Replying to the discussion, Finance Minister



Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted Centre’s measures taken for the development of J&K.

 

The House also cleared the Appropriation Bills 2021 related to Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry.

 

The Bills seek to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry for the services of the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22.
