The Lok Sabha membership of Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal has been restored after the Kerala High Court suspended his conviction and sentence in a criminal case. The Lok Sabha Secretariat today, March 29, issued a notification in this regard after the Kerala High Court stayed the conviction and sentence of Mohammed Faizal on 25th January this year.

and member from Lakshadweep Parliamentary Constituency Mohammed Faizal was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment in a case of attempt to murder with three others on 11th January this year by a local court of Kavaratti under the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. Following the verdict of the court, he was disqualified from the membership of Lok Sabha on 13th January this year.
