An inquiry has been ordered in Parliament after an MP was allegedly found smoking or vaping on the premises. The Lok Sabha Speaker has taken cognisance of the incident following a formal complaint filed by Anurag Thakur.

While a designated smoking room exists, the rules are clear

that 'You cannot be smoking or vaping inside the house'. As part of the inquiry, forensic samples have been collected and sent for testing.

The committee is awaiting the reports and will also summon the MP in question to hear their side of the story before making a final decision.
