Laxmi Ratan Shukla Resigns from Mamata Banerjee Cabinet

In West Bengal, the Minister of State in charge of sports and youth services Laxmi Ratan Shukla resigned from the Mamata Banerjee cabinet today.

Sources said Shukla has sent his resignation letter to the Chief Minister and TMC president Mamata Bannerjee.

Indian cricketer turned politician Shukla has also resigned from the post of Howrah District President of the ruling party Trinamool Congress.

Laxmi Ratan Shukla had joined TMC before the last assembly polls and was elected from Howrah Uttar (North) assembly constituency in the 2016 elections.
