Two men were killed and several others injured after a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus was involved in an accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway on Saturday morning, police said.
The accident occurred in the Bidadi area on the expressway, they said. The driver and conductor of the bus succumbed to their injuries, while 14 passengers were injured and shifted to a hospital, where they are
stated to be in stable condition, a senior police officer said.
The deceased are identified as driver Bijilesh, conductor Arun. According to preliminary investigation, the bus driver may have dozed off while driving, following which the vehicle veered towards the left side of the road and crashed, he said. A case has been registered, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
