Kerala Teen Goes Missing During Family Trek In Chandradrona Hills

Just days after a Kerala techie went missing while trekking in Karnataka, a 14-year-old Kerala girl has gone missing during a family trek in Karnataka’s Chandradrona hills. 

As per reports, a search operation was launched after a class 10 student from Kerala went missing during a family trip to Manikyadhara Falls in the Chandradrona hill range of Chikkamagaluru. 

The girl was part of a group of around 40 relatives who had travelled from Palakkad to visit the hills, police officials



informed. 

She went missing at around 5.30 pm on Tuesday while at the falls with her family. The family searched for her until about 8 pm before informing the authorities.

After receiving the report, the local police formed teams and launched a search operation in the area and continued combing the hills through the night, police stated. Thermal drones were deployed to locate the girl. 

A large-scale search in the difficult terrain of the hills, including deep ghat sections and steep slopes, is being conducted to trace the missing teen.
