The Kerala government has increased the first prize of the Onam bumper lottery. The first prize has been raised from Rs. 25 crore to Rs. 30 crore through a government order.
The prize structure has also been revised, with the third prize reduced from Rs. 50 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will launch the Onam bumper lottery ticket on July 17.
There is no change in the ticket price, which remains Rs. 500. Kerala continues to offer the
highest lottery prize amount in the country.
Although 90 lakh tickets have been earmarked for distribution to agents, the number of tickets printed will depend on demand.
Prize structure:
First prize: Rs. 30 crore.
Second prize: Rs. 1 crore each for 20 winners (2 in each series).
Third prize: Rs. 25 lakh each for 20 winners (2 in each series).
