This special report covers the aftermath of the tragic Karur stampede on September 27, which resulted in 41 deaths during a rally for actor Vijay's political party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

As the reporter notes, 'one thing is very certain, TVK wants to show that they are mourning the death of 41 unfortunate deaths'. In response to the tragedy, Vijay has started disbursing the promised Rs 20 lakh

compensation to the victims' families and announced that TVK cadres will not celebrate Diwali this year.

A letter signed by Vijay has also been sent to the families, apologising for the incident and assuring them he will visit after getting the required permissions. However, with the DMK holding him responsible, questions remain whether these actions will be enough to mitigate the public and political backlash.
