Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Monday said the police have arrested three people in the murder case of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha.

Speaking to the media, Araga Jnanendra said there are believed to be five accused in the case but it is not known yet who is behind them.

"Three overall arrests have been made. I can't reveal more where they were picked up," Araga Jnanendra said.

"I don't have an exact number how many have been taken under custody. Prime motive will come after the investigation," he added.

Speaking about the violence that broke out in



Shivamogga, the home minister said 1,200 extra police personnel were deployed in the area. Over 200 cops were sent from Bengaluru, he added.

"ADGP Murugan is looking after the issue too. Law and order has been brought back to normal," Araga Jnanendra said.

Araga Jnanendra said this afternoon, when the body of Harsha was taken to the funeral spot, state minister KS Eshwarappa and BJP MP Raghavendra were present to monitor the situation.

"I have met the family in the morning. They told me their son can't be brought back. But his death shouldn't be wasted and they needed justice," Araga Jnanendra said.
