Karnataka Government has issued guidelines for the New Year celebrations. Restrictions have been imposed under section 144 on the congregation of over five people from 6 this evening till tomorrow morning. 

Bengaluru city police Commissioner Kamal Pant has said that restrictions will be in place on movement of vehicles in the city and flyovers will be blocked for traffic movement till the curfew ends.MG Road, Church Street, Brigade Road, Koramangala and Indiranagar in Bengaluru will be a no man



zones tonight. These are the places where youngsters gather for the New Year revelry.  The DJ events and dance parties are not allowed.
 
The Home ministry has issued guidelines to celebrate the New Year in a simple and meaningful way to avoid the spread of the pandemic. The New Year will be restricted to residential areas and apartments. Hotels and clubs have been asked to keep the new arrangements simple allowing only a limited number of customers.
