In Karnataka, repolling has begun on three booths - one in Hebbal constituency in Bengaluru and two in Kushtagi in Koppal district.
Election commission ordered repolling following malfunctioning of EVMs in Hebbal constituency, while voters names wrongly listed at two booths in Kushtagi. Voting will be held between 7 AM and 6 PM.
Voting for Assembly elections in Karnataka was held on Saturday.
Counting of votes will be taken up tomorrow.
The counting of votes in 283 counting centres
in 38 places across the state will begin at 8.00 am tomorrow. Over 11,000 polling personnel are deputed for this purpose.
The Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar has said extensive SVEEP activities and facilities created at the booth level have resulted in record voters’ turnout.
Hoskote constituency in Bengaluru rural district recorded the highest polling of 89.97 percent and Dasarahalli in Bengaluru urban recorded the lowest of 48.03 percent voters’ turnout.
