A Kargil War veteran was left with serious head injuries and a fractured hand after he was allegedly attacked with an iron rod by a parking attendant at Magnum Global Park here, according to a police complaint.
Group Captain Amit Kumar Gupta (retd), a former Indian Air Force officer, has alleged that the parking attendant assaulted him during a dispute at the commercial complex and subsequently threatened to kill him.
Gupta, a veteran of the 1999 Kargil War, has also accused the police of failing
to provide him adequate assistance after the incident. According to his complaint, the attendant used an iron rod to attack him, causing injuries to his head and hand.
The veteran was subsequently taken for medical treatment. Gupta has further alleged that the hospital submitted a false report regarding his injuries, raising questions over the medical documentation related to the incident. The allegations have been made in the veteran's police complaint and are yet to be established through investigation.
