Kapil Sibal quits Congress party

Congress leader Kapil Sibal has resigned from the party. He has filed his nomination for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election with the support of the Samajwadi Party.

After filing his nomination, Mr Sibal said, he has filed his nomination as an independent



candidate.

 

However, Mr Sibal thanked SP cheif Akhilesh Yadav for his party's support to him. Mr Sibal recently represented jailed SP leader Azam Khan in Supreme Court and helped him secure an interim bail.
