Kakinada Constable Dies by Suicide, Harassment Alleged

A 31-year-old Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) constable, identified as Chandramalla Vamsi, died by suicide after allegedly jumping from a bridge into the Godavari River in Rajamahendravaram recently.

 According to police, the incident came to light after his body was recovered on Saturday morning following an extensive search operation carried out by State Disaster Response Force (SDRF)



teams.

Based on the complaint lodged by the family, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter. 

Authorities stated that all angles, including the harassment allegations, are being thoroughly examined. 

The body has been shifted to the Government Hospital in Rajamahendravaram for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
