Kabir Lays Foundation for Babri-Style Mosque in Beldanga

The event took place Saturday in Beldanga, a town in West Bengal's Murshidabad district with a history of communal clashes, including November 2024 violence that injured dozens.

Kabir, suspended by TMC for anti-party activities, called it a 'prestige fight' backed by police

after a Calcutta High Court order allowed it under strict security.

He announced a Rs 300 crore project on a 25-bigha plot, hosting Saudi clerics and a biryani feast, while BJP leaders criticized it as vote-bank politics amid heavy deployments that kept the peace.
