New Delhi: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has registered an increase of 10.19 percent voters after the exercise of special summary revision by the Election Commission concluded after delimitation. 

There has been a net increase of Seven lakh 72 thousand 872 electors in the final electoral roll. The final electoral rolls have a total of 83 lakh 59 thousand 771 electors, out of which 42 lakh 91 thousand 687 are male, 40 lakh 67 thousand 900 are females and 184 are the third gender. 

After the completion of the delimitation



exercise in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year, the ECI ordered pre-revision activities in the Union Territory on 10th June this year which primarily included the task of mapping the existing electoral rolls of 83 pre-delimitation constituencies to the post-delimitation 90 Constituencies. 

On completion of post-delimitation follow-up and pre-revision activities, the Commission ordered a special summary revision of photo electoral Rolls in Jammu and Kashmir, with reference to 1st October 2022 as the qualifying date.
