In Jammu & Kashmir, the incessant rain has been lashing various areas in Kashmir valley since Friday with disruption in normal life. Rains also threw life out of gear in Chenab Valley in Jammu division. In line with prediction of State weather department, the rains continued in many parts of Kashmir Valley and Jammu region till late last evening. The weather remains cloudy in Qazigund, Ramban and other areas along highway.
The Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), under Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has issued a medium danger avalanche warning for higher areas in Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Kargil, Shopian, Anantnag, Kulgam, Rajouri, Doda and Poonch districts of Jammu and



Kashmir.
"The Meterological department predicted partly cloudy weather for next three days till March 16.Official sources said the Srinagar-Jammu national highway is open for traffic. 
In Himachal Pradesh, rain in most of the parts while snowfall on higher reaches continued during the night. The MeT department has predicted no change in the current weather in the next 24 hours. This unseasonal rain has paralyzed normal life in the state. Several far flung areas in various districts have been cut off by road connectivity due to landslides on roads. 
The danger of snow avalanche has been increased in snowbound areas of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu and Chamba districts.
