Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the state government to ensure supply of essential commodities and adequate treatment to the injured persons admitted to various hospitals.
Hearing a petition, a division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice M H Attar yesterday said it is the responsibility of the State to provide essentials commodities to the people during restrictions. 
The bench said that as the



restrictions are in place for over past five days, not only the people residing in the Valley but also the visitors/tourists are put to serious predicament.
The High Court gave the directions on a petition which said due to imposition of restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC in the Valley, people were put to hardships due to non-supply of essential commodities, like shortage of vegetable, baby food, medicines and life saving drugs.
