An Air India Express flight from Delhi to Jammu returned shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. Flight IX2564, which was scheduled to operate on the Delhi–Jammu route on Sunday, was diverted back to the national capital soon after departure.

An alternative aircraft was arranged to operate our Delhi–Jammu flight after the original aircraft returned to Delhi due to a technical issue.

Another incident took place on Sunday, when an Air India flight from Trivandrum to Delhi was cancelled after the aircraft reported a bird hit just before landing in Trivandrum.

The flight, which was arriving from Delhi, landed safely. However, airline authorities kept the aircraft grounded for detailed checks.

The airline offered refunds on cancellation to guests who opted for it. Alternative arrangements were made to fly the passengers to Delhi.

Air India in a statement said that it has voluntarily undertaken enhanced pre-flight safety checks and temporary reduction of services to uphold its commitment to safe operations. The airline claimed that these changes will improve stability and will minimise last-minute inconvenience to passengers.
