Mumbai: Intermittent heavy rains hit parts of Mumbai, and neighbouring coastal districts in the last 24 hours. As per the Indian Meteorological Department the rainfall in Mumbai has already crossed its seasonal levels and now the city is experiencing excess rainfall. All seven lakes providing water to the city and adjoining areas have recorded good rainfall and are full to



capacity.

The IMD has predicted intense clouding over the north Konkan belt which includes Raigad, Thane, Mumbai and Palghar indicating intermittent spells in the coming days.

In  Nashik, the rural  areas especially Trimbakeshwar, Igatpuri  and Peth received heavy rainfall. The Marathawada region too received light rainfall.
