At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Defence Ministers' Meet in Qingdao, India took a firm stand against terrorism. 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh refused to sign a draft statement that excluded reference to the Pahalgam terror attack and cross-border



terrorism while including Balochistan train hijacking incidents. 

Singh called on SCO members to work together to reduce terrorism risks in the region. The summit exposed deep divides, with India launching an attack on Pakistan without naming the country directly.
