New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party President JP Nadda on Friday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attacking India’s sovereignty. His remarks came after Rahul Gandhi raised questions over 'Indian democracy' recently, while addressing a lecture at Cambridge University in the UK.

Mr. Nadda told media that India is the mother of democracy and no power in the world can harm the democratic legacy of India. He added that

today no one in the country listens to Congress, and the public does not trust it.

The BJP President also claimed that Rahul Gandhi was also insulting the elected government of the country and 130 crore Indians. Mr. Nadda further questioned his intention to ask for intervention of another country in the internal matters of India, which is an attack on India’s sovereignty.
