India Celebrates Navy Day With Spectacular Maritime Display In Kerala

Navy Day is being celebrated today. The day is celebrated on the 4th of December every year to recognise the achievements and role of the Indian Navy.

 

It was on this day in 1971, during Operation Trident, that the Indian Navy sank four Pakistani vessels, including PNS Khaibar.

Navy Day is being celebrated with a spectacular Operational Demonstration at Shangumugham beach in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

 

The event will showcase the Navy’s operational platforms, and its resolve as the ‘Preferred Security Partner’ in the Indian Ocean Region, guided by the broader vision of the MAHASAGAR initiative.
