India cannot achieve a 5 trillion dollar economy without women: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday said that India cannot achieve a 5 trillion dollar economy without the participation of women. 

Addressing the gathering after giving away the 'Women Transforming India' Awards 2019 in New Delhi, Mr Singh said, effective participation of women has to be



ensured to strengthen the country's economy. He also stressed the need to promote women entrepreneurship on a large scale.

Mr Singh called upon people to strive for new India where women get equal opportunities and reach their full potential.
