INDIA Bloc to Hold Rescheduled CEC Impeachment Prog Today

INDIA bloc leaders are scheduled to hold their public impeachment programme against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Saturday at 3.30 pm at 10, Rajaji Marg, the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. 

The programme was postponed from Friday due to rainfall in the national capital. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi announced the rescheduling, saying the decision was taken



unanimously to avoid inconvenience to senior leaders.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Rahul Gandhi said the programme would be held at the same time on Saturday, adding that it would be uncomfortable for senior leaders to sit in the rain. 

He also invited political parties, civil society representatives, journalists and citizens to participate in the INDIA bloc's march to Ramlila Maidan on November 1.
