The Union government has banned the Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF), which consisted of members of terrorist organisations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

According to a notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the JKGF was involved in infiltration bids, narcotics and weapon

smuggling, terror attacks in Kashmir, and issuing threats to security forces.

The outfit has been using social media platforms to incite people in Jammu and Kashmir to join terror outfits against India.

JKGF has now been designated as a terror group under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
