IMD predicts rain and gusty winds in Northwest India during next 2 days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and gusty winds in Northwest India during the next two days.

The IMD said, hailstorm is expected in isolated places over north Rajasthan, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab during the period. 

Rajasthan and Uttarakhand are expected to witness thunder squall today and tomorrow. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places



over north Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Light or moderate rainfall, with thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and hailstorms is expected in Madhya Pradesh during the next two days.

Kerala, Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are likely to witness light and moderate rainfall till Friday.
