IMD Issues Widespread Heavy Rainfall Alerts Across Multiple States Till July 26

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand till Tuesday and in Himachal Pradesh till Wednesday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu till 22nd July, and in Telangana till 24th July. It has also been forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kerala, Mahe, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka till 26th July.

    

The weather agency also predicted heavy rainfall in West Uttar Pradesh and Haryana till tomorrow, and in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir till 24th July. Heavy



rainfall is also likely over East Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan till 26th July. IMD said that very heavy rainfall is likely over Nagaland and Tripura till tomorrow, in Arunachal Pradesh till Tuesday and in Assam and Meghalaya till 26th July.

     

IMD said that strong surface winds with speeds between 40 to 50 kilometres per hour are very likely over South Peninsular India during the next 5 days. Moderate rainfall has also been predicted for Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours.
