IMD Issues Red Alert For Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana And Andhra Pradesh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana today.

IMD has also issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall today over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Parts of Coastal Karnataka, East Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat, Jharkhand,



Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka and Vidarbha are also expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall during the day.

The weather agency predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, and Rajasthan till the 30th of this month.
