IMD issues orange alert for heavy rainfall and snowfall over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab

The India Meteorological Department, IMD has issued orange alert for heavy rainfall and snowfall over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab on March 1 and 2. According to the weather department, an active Western Disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayan Region from tomorrow and the plains of northwest India from March 1 to March 3.
