IMD forecasts thunderstorm, lightning, dense fog across several regions

The morning hours of National Capital Delhi witnessed scattered rainfall today. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh today. Similar conditions are expected in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and



Uttarakhand.

Further, the IMD has forecast dense fog conditions in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today. The Met Department also predicted a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by two to three degrees Celsius over Northwest India during next the two days.
