Imphal: Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla said that the incumbent Chief Minister has not submitted his resignation after which the process of formation of the next government can be started. The governor said that until and unless the present chief minister resigns, the formation of the next government cannot be started. She further said that the notification will come from the Election Commission only after the



decision will be taken. She said that BJP has claimed that the party has the support of 32 MLAs in the 60-member assembly.
The Congress had won 28 seats in Manipur, followed by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) 21. The Nationalist People's Party (NPP) and the Naga People`s Front (NPF) have won four seats each, while the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and the Trinamool Congress have bagged one seat each.
