Within 24 hours of Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s warning, the police have summoned Naoda MLA and Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) chief, Humayun Kabir, for questioning in connection with two cases lodged against him for making controversial remarks.
On Tuesday, police reached Kabir’s house and issued notices for his appearance in
two cases. He has been ordered to appear at Rejinagar and Shaktipur police stations on July 3 and 5, respectively, in two separate cases filed over his controversial remarks.
However, Humayun Kabir claimed that he was not at home, so he was not aware of the notice. He said he would consider whether to appear once he gets the notice in his hand.
