Holiday in Telangana on account of Diwali on Thursday

The State government has issued orders declaring Thursday, October 19, as a 'General Holiday' because of Diwali festivities.

With 'Naraka Chaturdhi' falling a day prior Diwali, i.e. Wednesday,

October 18, the State government in its requests has likewise pronounced a 'Optional Holiday' on Wednesday.

The requests were issued by Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana State, SP Singh on Monday.
