New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah will flag off All India Car Rally of the National Security Guard – Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama from the historic Red Fort in Delhi today under the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Government is celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to revive and instill in today’s youth, the spirit and sacrifices of the unsung Martyrs and Freedom Fighters.

During its seven thousand 500 kilometers long journey, the National Security Guard, NSG’s car rally will pass through important and historical places associated with the Freedom Movement and Freedom Fighters of the country. The rally will end on 30th of this month at the Police Memorial in New Delhi. 

NSG’s car rally will pass through 18 cities in 12 states of



the nation and will visit historic places like Kakori Memorial in Lucknow, Bharat Mata Mandir in Varanasi, Netaji Bhawan Barrackpore in Kolkata, Swaraj Ashram in Bhubaneswar, Tilak Ghat in Chennai, Freedom Park in Bengaluru, August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai and Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.

Mr Shah will also flag-in the cycle rallies of the Central Armed Police Forces, which started from different parts of the country, such as Dandi, the North East and Leh to Kanyakumari, concluding in New Delhi today. The cycle rallies of CAPFs, which began on 15th August this year with around 900 cyclists, including officers and Jawans, passed through 21 states to cover a distance of about 41 thousand kilometres to reach Delhi.
