Heavy Rains Wash Away Bridge, Tribal Residents Struggle For Essentials

Heavy rains over the past two days have caused severe disruption in several parts of the district. A temporary bridge near Chinna Gangavaram in GK Veedhi mandal was washed away due to the heavy flow of water.

According to reports, the temporary bridge near Dharakonda Panchayat in Chinna Gangavaram was washed away following continuous rainfall. The incident has reportedly cut off road connectivity to around 75 villages in the agency



area.

With the bridge damaged, tribal communities in these villages are facing severe difficulties in accessing essential commodities, healthcare and other basic services. 

The disruption has also affected transportation and the movement of people between the villages and nearby areas. Tribal residents have urged the authorities to take immediate steps to restore connectivity and reconstruct the bridge at the earliest.
