Heavy rains lash northern parts of Chattisgarh

In Chattisgarh, heavy rains over last two days lashed northern parts of the state affecting communication and causing heavy damage to the property. Northern Sarguja division of Chattisgarh had witnessed insufficient rains till the last week but now it is facing a flood like situation due to heavy downpour in last two



days. 

The road communication with remote villages of Ambikapur, Jashpur , Surajpur, and Belrampur has been affected. Over 150 animals also got drowned in the flood waters and over 60 houses have been destroyed in this region. Met department has forecasted heavy rains to continue over next two days as well.
