Heavy rain lashes in Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan

Heavy rain lashed in Madhya pradesh and Kota division of the Rajasthan for the last 24 hours and  the rivers are  in spate. 

For the first time in the current monsoon season, the gates of all the four dams of the Chambal river were opened



yesterday.

94 thousand cusecs of water was released by opening five sluice gates of Gandhi Sagar dam, 90 thousand cusecs by opening 5 gates of Rana Pratap Sagar dam.  One lakh cusecs of water is being released by opening 10 gates of Kota barrage.
