In Uttarakhand, incessant rainfall caused disruption of road links in the state. The Ghat-Dharchula National Highway has been closed to traffic at some places in Pithoragarh district, while Rishikes-Kedarnath National Highway is also reported closed between Sonprayag and Gaurikund.
BRO and PWD personnel are engaged in the opening of the highways. The State Government has issued an advisory to all the District Magistrates asking them to be

vigilant and to take all precautionary measures for people's safety.
All the main rivers in the State are in spate. The Ganga is flowing near the danger mark in Haridwar district. In view of the rising water level of the river, flood posts along the river have been put on alert. The police are continuously patrolling along the riverbanks. The Met Department predicted heavy showers likely to occur at isolated places in the state.
