Head Constable killed in suspected hit-and-run on Kurnool flyover

A police head constable was killed in a suspected hit-and-run case in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool town on Tuesday, police said.

An unidentified vehicle hit the head constable while he was jogging on a flyover on the national highway early in the morning.

The policeman fell on the road under the flyover



and died on the spot. He was identified as Varaprasad Reddy (43), a head constable serving in the second battalion of Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP).

According to police, the incident occurred near Bellari Chowrasta.

Police shifted the body to the government hospital for post-mortem examination.
