Haryana Announces Urban Local Body Elections; Voting on March 2

The Haryana Election Commission has announced the Urban Local Body Elections. The code of conduct has come into force with this announcement. Voting will be held on 2nd March.

State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh, while making this announcement in Panchkula today, said that elections will be held for the mayor and all the ward members of the local municipal



bodies in Faridabad, Gurugram, Manesar, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, and Yamunanagar. Mayor by-elections will be held in Sonipat and Ambala. Apart from this, elections will be held for the Chairperson and members of eight municipal corporations, by-elections for the mayor of two municipal corporations, 4 municipal councils and 21 municipalities.
