The first batch of 371 pilgrims for Hajj 2026 departed for Mecca in Saudi Arabia from New Delhi today, marking the commencement of the annual pilgrimage season from India.
The pilgrims left for Mecca from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Talking to the media, Chairperson of Delhi Hajj Committee Kausar Jahan highlighted
the significance of the arrangements and said that coordinated efforts are being made to support the pilgrims throughout the process.
She added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, all facilities are continuously being expanded, and the government is making every effort to ensure that the journey of pilgrims is smooth, pleasant, and easy.
