Gujarat High Court given two more weeks time to Ahmed Patel

The Gujarat High Court has given two more weeks time to Congress leader Ahmed Patel to file his reply on a petition by Balwantsinh Rajput, the BJP candidate. Mr. Rajput had challenged Ahmed Patel's win in the recently-held Rajya

Sabha elections.

The court yesterday deferred the hearing to 6th of October on a request made by Mr Patel's lawyer seeking more time to file the affidavit in response to the petition.
