Gujarat Assembly passes Regularisation of Unauthorised Development Bill

Gandhinagar: In Gujarat, the State Assembly passed the Gujarat Regularisation of Unauthorised Development Bill yesterday. The Bill will regularise the illegal commercial, educational, and residential real estate buildings constructed in the State before October 2022 upon payment of a fee.

The Bill replaced the Ordinance promulgated in October 2022.

Earlier, Governor Acharya Devrat addressed the newly formed Assembly today and congratulated BJP for



the landslide victory in the polls.

The Governor expressed the hope that the new government would be dedicated to the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

All three newly elected independent MLAs declared support for the ruling BJP yesterday.

The House unanimously elected BJP MLA Shankar Chaudhary and Jetha Bharwad as the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the 15th State Assembly.
