Government today said that the inflow of foreign aid to combat COVID continued to be swiftly cleared, apportioned and sent to States and Union Territories. The Union Health Ministry said, more than 10,000 Oxygen Concentrators, over 12,000 Oxygen Cylinders, 19 Oxygen Generation Plants, 6497 ventilators and over four lakh Remdesivir vials were delivered and dispatched through road and air, from 27th April to 13th May this year. 

The Ministry said, the country has been receiving international donations and aid of COVID-19 relief medical supplies and



equipment from different countries and organisations to augment its efforts in fighting the unprecedented surge of cases.

It said, through a streamlined and systematic mechanism, various Ministries and Departments of Government have seamlessly collaborated for expeditiously delivering the incoming global aid to States and UTs.

A dedicated Coordination Cell has been created in the Union Health Ministry to coordinate the receipt and allocation of foreign COVID relief material. This Cell started functioning from 26th of last month.
