The Government is committed to fulfill Prime Minister’s vision of five trillion dollar economy by 2024 based on the concept of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. Replying to a discussion on the working of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME, Nitin Gadkari said the Government had given employment to 11 crore people so far in the sector which is contributing from Charakha to Chandrayan.

Stating that there have been several challenges in the sector, the Minister said the government is committed to convert them into opportunities. In response to a question on the



adverse impact of the corona virus on MSME sector, Mr Gadkari said, efforts are being taken to overcome them. He said, a meeting is scheduled to be held with the Finance Minister today.

He said loans worth 22 thousand crore rupees were approved in the sector. Listing various initiatives taken by the Government to improve the manufacturing in MSMEs, he said that a loan portal would be introduced by the Government to make the Indian products available world wide on the lines of Amazon of the USA and Alibaba of China.
