India said that the death of an Indian pregnant woman in Portugal is unfortunate. Briefing media, MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, it is in touch with the family of the deceased.
The 34-year-old Indian woman reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest during an ambulance transfer from a hospital that had no vacancies in the neonatology service to another hospital in the capital.
The
tragic death led to the resignation of Portugal's Health Minister Marta Temido.
Replying to a media query, Mr Bagchi said, India is in touch with authorities in Kenya and Azerbaijan where one suspect each has been detained in connection with the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala. The singer was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district in May this year.
