The upcoming monsoon session of Parliament is set to be a contentious one, with the government planning to introduce eight new bills while the opposition prepares to demand accountability on 'Operation Sindoor'.

According to sources, the government's legislative agenda includes the National Sports Governance Bill, National Anti-Doping Amendment Bill, the Mines and Mineral Amendment Bill, and the income tax bill. However, the

primary focus for opposition parties will be to seek answers from the government on the details of 'Operation Sindoor'.

Opposition parties had previously demanded a special session, stating the "government must come on the floor of the house and answer and reply to some queries." An all-party meeting is scheduled for the 19th of the month, with the session expected to commence on the 21st, promising significant political debates.
