Goa fully geared to welcome New Year 2016

In Goa tourists and residents alike are eager to welcome the New Year 2016. A large number of foreign and domestic tourists have reached the state and roads leading to the coastal beaches and Panaji city are facing traffic jams. Old man figures are created at some places. The security has been tightened. However, lifeguards on the beaches have gone on an indefinite strike since yesterday. Visitors to the beaches are warned about venturing into sea in a mood of celebration. A number of new projects are



scheduled to start with the beginning of new year in Goa.

As always Goa is the ultimate destination for the year end celebrations. People from all states verge on the golden sand beaches of Goa. This year the hotel bookings are full though there is a decline in foreign tourist during this winter season. The big ticket pop music parties on the north Goa beaches have just concluded and people are heading towards the beaches in large numbers causing traffic jams everywhere.
